SAVE MONEY - DINNER PLANNING
Menu planning is not only fast, easy and convenient. In the long run, you’ll save money.
1. Set a day and time once a week to menu plan. Your menu can be for breakfast, lunch or dinner. I normally create a dinner menu. So, for my below example, I’m planning dinner for a week.
2. For each day, list any major events that could happen that day. For instance, schedule hair appts or class that could interfere with the normal time you have dinner. This will let you know not to plan a time consuming dinner for that night. Maybe a soup or sandwich will be ok for that night.
3. Next, select an entree for each night. Don’t worry about side dishes or desserts for each night. Figure that out on the day you are going to eat the entree. This is a good time to ask family (husband, children) for any of their suggestions. Selecting entrees that can be fixed and frozen for a later date will help you save time on the day that you’re having dinner.
4. Next, shop for the items on the list.
IT IS NOT ABOUT ME (YOU)
God has blessed each one of us with gifts and talents that he wants us to use. We are not to hold in these abilities. But, we are to use them as God sees fit. Sometimes, we hold back because of doubt, fear, lack of trust or uncertainty. But, when those times arise, we are not to give in. We are to show courage, hope and strength. We are not to think of ourselves. But to remember, it is not about us. It’s about saving lives. There are lives/souls that need to be saved/touched by God. I believe and know that He wants to us to touch their lives. God wants to do a mighty work through us. We are a conduit for Him. We need to be obedient, humble and open to His will. We need to thank Him for the opportunities that come before us no matter how great or small. It is not about us. It’s about saving souls. It’s about being an ambassador for Christ. So, whether it’s singing a melody, helping someone learn how to save money, giving workout instructions, teaching a class, giving an encouraging word, remember it’s not about you. Each situation can and will be used to win souls to Christ.
